About

In 2010, for the first time in my life, I've experienced what is really like to be on the road, and believe me it has nothing to do with doing that road trip with a bunch of friends hopping from hostel to hostel.

While being on the road it's undoubtedly one of the most liberating and rewarding experiences one can have in life, it's also a big challenge since it flips your habits completely upside down and small things that we take for granted in our everyday life can turn into a priority (specially for a girl). Yes small things, like finding a decent bathroom.

During the last few days of those 45 days I spent on the road between Portugal and Poland, I started to thought about how I've been to so many different bathrooms and how interesting it would have been to document my exact point of view while using them, capturing my perception of each one's own quirks and peculiarities.

So when in 2013 I went to discover the wonderful regions of Asturias and Cantabria in Spain and Brittany and Normandy in France, the Water Closet Project was born.
